After i did the shoot with Vicky payne, i found these images on the website shown on the tital and the quality and ideas behind them are great. i didn't realize how versatile the hair could be and shooting it in different angles can help. This is one aspect id like to get into more and practice. ( Vicky shoot shown on http://harvey30887-portfolio.blogspot.com/)

Browsing the internet

I found these shots on http://nymag.com/fashion/08/spring/float/index2.html, and it is a shoot from spring 2008 fashion- new york. The shots are beautiful and have a feeling of still movement within them. my favorite i the model wearing a blue dress the use of symmetry and postioning overall makes the image very visually pleasuring.

Advertising photographer - Drik rees

I came across his work while looking through a Hasselblad Magazine and wanted to look at more of his work. his images are so crisp and clean I can't fault them, his sequences shown below are brilliant the are a good sense of a story line and good use of photoshop techniques.

I have mentioned before about George Coppock, this year e is oe of my favorite photographers and massive inspiratio to my food shots ( show, http://harvey30887-portfolio.blogspot.com/2007/12/three-orange-lighting-moduel.html)

I have been assisting at the studio - Refelective photography, owned by George coppock. I wanted to get more knowledge on how professional deal with clients and basically earn a living. ww.Georgecoppock.com is his website. He deals mainly with food clients but this can range to stage sets with models which realy interests me, as I take a liking to portrait photography.

essentris Studios - an advertising company that users a lot of portraiture within its photography.
The lighting set ups are amazing and look very difficult, but i believe with a lot of practice i could accomplish some thing like this. ( images displayed on flash on website)

Michaels band photography and general portraiture is very inspirational, the abnormal and normal posers create dramatical images with the added bonus of location he choses is great.

Simple uses of locations such as : a car park lot with 3 different levels and placing the band on all of the level just a simple but affective idea.

Most of my food images have been thought up and done, even thought it has all bin done before.

This is a photo by Harold E. Edgerton, the photo is called ‘milk drop’ taken in 1936- he became renowned as a photographer that photographed fast moving objects in a still image. In this image Edgerton used a fast shutter speed to create the kind of liquid sculpture, connoting a crown. This style of photography is called ‘stroboscopic’, which is a technique for capturing and depicting fast moving/kenotic actions. Using a dark room and a strobe flash he could shoot fast occurring events and break tem down into sections or a single image. The image was taken pre 1980’stherefore taken before digital technology was invented, ruling out any digital manipulation, but also we can see the second drop been dropped at the top of the shot suggesting it was just trial and error photography. (Another favorite image of mine is ‘the tennis player’ which gives the total kinetic movement of a tennis player striking a ball).
